PAUS Fall Retreat Purchase Terms + Guest Agreement

November 20–22, 2026 | Houstondale | Paris, Kentucky

Payment + What’s Included

Payment is due in full when your ticket is purchased unless opted for the 50% payment plan, which then your remaining amount will be charged on Nov 1st. Your ticket reserves one of the retreat’s limited spaces and includes the lodging, meals, activities, workshops, experiences and limited edition merchandise.

Transportation to and from Houstondale, travel expenses, personal purchases and any optional experiences identified as having an additional cost are not included.

The retreat schedule, facilitators, partners and specific activities may change when reasonably necessary. Additional information will be sent 1 week prior to the retreat. A change to an individual activity, workshop, meal, facilitator or sponsor does not constitute cancellation of the retreat.

Cancellations + Refunds

Because the retreat is limited to approximately 25 attendees and PAUS makes advance commitments based on confirmed reservations, ticket purchases are generally nonrefundable.

If you can no longer attend, please contact PAUS as soon as possible. If we are able to fill your place from the waitlist, we will refund your ticket price, minus payment-processing fees and a 10% administrative fee. A refund is not guaranteed unless your place is successfully filled.

If PAUS cancels the retreat, you will receive a refund of the ticket amount paid. PAUS is not responsible for airfare, transportation, lodging outside the retreat, lost income or other personal travel expenses. We strongly recommend purchasing refundable travel or travel insurance where appropriate.

Ticket Transfers

You may request to transfer your ticket to another eligible attendee through November 13, 2026.

All transfers must be approved by PAUS in writing, and the replacement attendee must complete the required registration information and agreements before attending. Tickets may not be resold for more than their original purchase price.

Community Conduct

The PAUS Fall Retreat is intended to be a welcoming, respectful and inclusive experience. Attendees are expected to treat one another, the Houstondale property, its animals, retreat partners, staff and neighboring community with care.

Harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, excessive intoxication, damage to the property or conduct that compromises another guest’s safety or experience will not be tolerated. PAUS reserves the right to remove an attendee whose behavior violates these expectations. Removal for a conduct violation will not result in a refund.

Attendees are responsible for damage they intentionally cause or damage resulting from disregard of property rules or staff instructions.

Alcohol

Alcohol is available only to attendees who are 21 or older. Participation in bourbon tastings or other alcohol-related experiences is entirely optional.

Guests are expected to drink responsibly and may not drive while impaired. PAUS may refuse alcohol service or participation in an alcohol-related activity when necessary for the safety of the attendee or group.

Activities, Property + Assumption of Risk

Participation in retreat activities is voluntary. The weekend takes place on a working horse farm and may include outdoor activities, uneven terrain, stairs, animals, weather exposure, fire, food preparation, off-property transportation and other activities carrying ordinary and sometimes unpredictable risks.

By attending, you acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to follow all instructions provided by PAUS, Houstondale, activity leaders and third-party partners. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for your abilities, health and comfort level. You may decline any optional activity.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you accept responsibility for injuries, losses or property damage arising from the inherent risks of your voluntary participation, except where caused by conduct that cannot legally be waived. Certain third-party activities may require an additional waiver.

Please inform PAUS before the retreat of any accessibility needs, serious allergies or relevant accommodations that would help us host you safely. You are not required to disclose unrelated private medical information.

Agreement

By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Purchase Terms and Guest Agreement.
